Go to the New York Times and read this exceptional story about Norman Mailer and William F. Buckley. It's a good account of their rivalry and the different compass directions from which they approached their extraordinary intellectualism. Sam Tanenhaus wrote the piece about these two late and great Americans. Tanenhaus is a good writer. He is currently working on a Buckley biography.
