Obama appears to be making progress in the campaign!
by Charlie Leck
Out here, where we live, we see Obama making progress. Here in Minnesota, where the polls have consistently shown the two presidential candidates to be neck and neck, Obama is opening a lead as big as 10 points.
Over in Michigan, Obama’s lead is now even larger. McCain is pulling campaign resources and workers out of Michigan and diverting them to other states where help is needed.
Wisconsin appears to be moving more to Obama and away from McCain. So does Iowa.
We’ll now start watching Missouri, to see if there is a change toward Obama down there. Keep your eye on Indiana and Illinois. Watch the brawl for Ohio and Pennsylvania! [correction at 9:01 A.M. 3 October 2008]

Obama’s campaign continues to raise significant amounts of money. Many people thought the well would dry up. Thousands and thousands of little gifts continue to pour in -- $10, $15, $25, $50 – from thousands and thousands of people who must give something up in order to contribute. It is a mighty story!
I was beginning to lose faith! I’ve been reenergized. I find myself quietly singing…“Yes, we can! Yes we can!”
